mY NAME IS nAOMI
My way of working is shaped by my background. Before becoming a therapist, I trained as a dancer and spent much of my life immersed in creative worlds, including music and performance. I know something of the pressures that can come with being creative, being seen, striving for something, and trying to find your sense of self within it all.
My training as a therapist grew out of my interest in people and what can happen when we feel freer to be ourselves. I became increasingly curious about how we can move beyond the expectations, self-doubt, and coping patterns that can keep us feeling small or disconnected, and instead discover more freedom, creativity, and choice.
I believe therapy can be a space for that exploration, to get to know yourself more deeply -including the parts of you that may have become quiet along the way. I hope that through therapy you can feel more empowered to make choices that are your own, reconnect with your creativity and begin to build a life that feels more like you.

I work with people who are often used to striving, achieving and holding things together. You might be a perfectionist, & a people pleaser, or simply someone who has become disconnected from yourself somewhere along the way. Perhaps you spend a lot of time overthinking, struggle to switch off, feel uncomfortable in your body, or find yourself constantly trying to be ‘better ’- more productive, more successful or more in control.
In therapy, we can explore what sits underneath these patterns and the impact they are having on your life. I have particular experience working with perfectionism, anxiety, self-esteem, body image, disordered eating and feeling disconnected from your body. I also work with professional dancers and creatives, understanding the particular pressures that can come with performance, competition, identity and high achievement. My approach is collaborative and integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches to understand what you need rather than expecting you to fit into one particular way of working. Together, we can slow things down, make sense of what is happening and begin to develop a different relationship with yourself, your body and the things that matter to you.
